Yan Changhua, chairman of Hunan Xiongsen Group, who lives in Tangtian Village, Anren County, invested 80 million yuan in the construction of the Yanzi Cultural Park in the village, which has become a representative project for the integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism.

The second phase of the project - Hunan Chuangneng Agricultural Science Popularization Education Base - was started last September. It realizes the integrated development of agricultural, culture and tourism, focusing on farming experience and popular science education. Combined with the natural conditions and environment of Tangtian Village, it is being built into a rural culture and ecological experience area that is suitable for agriculture, tourism, education, entertainment, culture, living, health and shopping.

The project is built on the once abandoned wood processing factory, with a planned area of 17 mu (about 1.13 hectares). Six buildings for training and experience, canteen and dormitories can accommodate more than 800 people.

The base has set up five major practical courses in social life, farming labor, craft skills, smart science popularization, and military outward bound, as well as intangible cultural heritage courses including Anren rice sculpture, leather-silhouette show, paper-cut, earthenware making based on local characteristics. It allows students and tourists to inherit farming culture here and enjoy farming.

The second phase of the project has been listed as one of the key projects of Anren County this year, and is a major achievement of the strategy of “attracting villagers back to build their hometowns” implemented by Anren County.
