The first urban lounge has recently opened to the public in Anren County, Chenzhou City. This fully-equipped urban lounge aims to provide services for outdoor workers and travelers waiting for buses.
Zhou Xuezhu, a sanitation worker of a company, works 8 hours a day, cleaning a 300-meter section of South Wuyi Road. When feeling exhausted, he stops for a rest in the urban lounge located beside the farmers’ market bus stop.
“When I’m tired from work, I come here to rest and drink some water,” said Zhou.
Though small in size, only 3 square meters, the urban lounge is well-equipped with an investment of 300,000 yuan.
Li Zhiliang, Deputy Manager of Chenzhou Auto Transportation Anren branch, said that the lounge is equipped with a water dispenser, air conditioning, seats, a medical kit, and a microwave.
What’s more, a self-service ticket machine is also available. By presenting their ID cards, people can easily purchase bus tickets.
Zhou Guanying, a resident who came to purchase a ticket, said, “Buying tickets here is convenient. The staff guide us how to do it. We can rest for a while, have some water, and enjoy the air conditioning.”
The walls of the urban lounge are adorned with departure schedules for Anren inter-county buses, long-distance bus schedules from Anping Bus Station, and Yongle Bus Station, and schedules for the Fucheng Express, offering travelers access to bus information.
