Guiyang has a history of more than 2,200 years since its establishment in the early Han Dynasty. 

 

As the first cultural tourism park in Hunan Province with the theme of displaying local history and culture, Guiyang Cultural Park reproduces the majestic view of “a thousand-year-old county”. 

 

This year, as the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference will be held in Chenzhou, Guiyang County has worked to improve the quality of Guiyang Cultural Park, which covers an area of 2,160 mu (144 hectares) and has a construction area of 200,000 square meters, and enhance the lighting landscape of the Ancient City. 

 

 

Today, it has become a popular spot for citizens to enjoy leisure and take photos, with an average daily flow of more than 10,000 people. The huge flow of people has also boosted the night economy, which in turn has attracted many businesses to open shops here. The business of the newly opened night market in the Ancient City is hot, with many tourists coming to taste food.

 

Tan Guoqiang, head of Guiyang Suifeng Catering Management Co., LTD., is optimistic about the business prospects, saying, “At present, the ancient city is popular, with the daily flow of tens of thousands of people. Besides, it is convenient to park here, without disturbing the people, which is also an important reason why we choose to invest in the Ancient City.”

 

The Ancient City of Guiyang County Cultural Park integrates historical memory and fashion elements. At present, all shops have been rented out for various business forms like cultural travel, catering, bars, supermarkets, and escape rooms. It also has an art gallery, a papermaking hall, a paper-cutting halls, a tea houses, a pottery hall, a Hanfu hall and other venues, allowing them to learn the history and culture, and local customs of Guiyang. The perfect integration of classic and fashion is a big appeal to tourists. 

 

 

In the first half of this year, it received a total of 2.8561 million tourists, an increase of 58.13% year-on-year, and the comprehensive tourism revenue reached 2.884 billion yuan, an increase of 57.7% year-on-year.

 

At present, the amusement park project in the Ancient City, a supporting project invested by social capital, is also about to be completed. There are such amusement facilities as Ferris wheel and roller coaster.
