Baoshan has been a mining area since the Tang Dynasty, and after centuries of mining, it became a “barren mountain.” In recent years, the county has invested over 200 million yuan in the restoration of the mines. 

 

 

 

The mines have been transformed into a green park, with the previously abandoned mining pits now covered in lush trees. Industrial and mining study tours have become a distinctive tourism brand in the local area.
