Popular Chenzhou Water World

“It’s very beautiful. I realize that water resources are very important and so we need to protect water resources from being polluted,” said Xu Muzi, a grade-8 student of Suyuan Middle School in Chenzhou visited the Chenzhou Water World with his family on October 1, the first day of its free opening.

The Chenzhou Water World was open for free to tourists and citizens from October 1 to 6. It had three receptions in the morning and in the afternoon respectively, from 9:00 am to 11:40 am and from 15:00 pm to 17:40 pm. Tourists and citizens needed to make reservations two days in advance until the reservation was fully booked.
 
The Chenzhou Water World had been full of tourists since the first day of National Day, with a daily reservation limit of 360 people.

Tourists also experienced the fruitful achievements of “sustainable utilization of water resources and green development” in Chenzhou and the benefits brought by the second Provincial Tourism Development Conference.
 
On September 13, the Chenzhou Water World welcomed the first group of guests, including leaders of national ministries, representatives of the United Nations and relevant international organizations, well-known domestic and foreign experts. They gathered at the exhibition hall to share water technology, water development, and future of water.
 
During the subsequent Tourism Development Conference period from September 15 to 17, they visited the Chenzhou Water World and highly praised the theme of “good water and more beautiful life in Chenzhou”.

The Chenzhou Water World covers an area of 4,439 square meters and is a comprehensive exhibition hall that integrates science education, achievement display, and tourism. It is the first exhibition hall in China with the theme of “sustainable utilization of water resources and green development”, and also the first exhibition hall to showcase the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by Chinese cities.

The exhibition hall has created a 360° immersive and interactive experience by integrating technology, education, and culture, as well as innovating new forms of exhibition, with modern technological means such as sound, light, and electricity, and new media technologies such as 5G, 3D MAPPING, AI, CAVE immersive systems, and sensory interaction for integrated display.

The building area of the exhibition hall inside is 2,840 square meters. The exhibition hall consists of five chapters to showcase water charm, inherit water culture, analyze the relationship between water and people, water and ecology, and water and life, improve tourists’ understanding of water knowledge, promote the concept of sustainable development.

“During the National Day holiday, the venue had a phased appointment system to ensure orderly and safe visits in the Chenzhou Water World,” said Li Yuqiang, deputy director of Technology and Control Department of Zixing City Urban Construction Municipal Engineering Co., Ltd.
