Jiahe casting and forging industrial cluster is the only one of its kind in Hunan province. Among them, Jiahe High-tech Zone is the only professional casting and forging park in Hunan Province, the largest casting industrial park in the Jiangnan region, and one of the 24 characteristic casting industrial clusters in China.

 

From 2019, ROOTCLOUD was introduced to build an industrial Internet platform for the casting and forging industrial cluster in Jiahe County, and 10 enterprises were selected to implement this system and actively explore a new way to promote the deep transformation of the casting and forging industry with “industrial Internet plus”. 

 

These measures aimed to solve the long-standing practical problems like extensive production, high energy consumption and poor digital foundation of enterprises, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the casting and forging industry. 

 

The industrial Internet platform of the casting and forging industrial cluster in Jiahe County focuses on the digital transformation scenario of the casting and forging industrial cluster, relying on both “ROOTCLOUD and ROOTCHAIN platform to create “industrial Internet plus blockchain”, driving industrialization with informatization and promote informatization with industrialization. 

 

“Our company optimizes production management through the MES system, strengthens process management, and achieves precision and intelligence in production and manufacturing. The resin sand production line and lost foam production line have reduced the demand for 11 positions, while improving production efficiency by about 10%, significantly reducing costs and increasing efficiency.” 

 

Jiang Bin introduced that Hongsheng Casting is one of the pilot enterprises, while the overall production efficiency of other pilot enterprises has increased by 8.4%.

 

“The pilot enterprises in the first phase have achieved certain results, and now more enterprises want to join the system,” said an official of the Science and Technology and Industrial Information Technology Bureau of Jiahe County, adding that the second phase of ROOTCLOUD is being implemented, and they will upgrade the technology for data application scenarios, especially for enterprise digitization, energy conservation and consumption reduction, in a bid to better guide enterprise production and extend the application of ROOT.
