Jiahe County’s ‘Hunan Foundry Craftsman’ awarded provincial characteristic labor brand

Hunan Foundry Craftsman of Jiahe County in Hunan Province was included on the list of Hunan’s characteristic labor brands recently.

 

Jiahe Foundry originated in the Qin and Han dynasties, flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties, with a long history spanning thousands of years. In recent years, the county government has taken a series of measures and policies to cultivate and strengthen the Hunan Foundry Craftsman characteristic labor brand. Efforts have been made to stabilize and expand employment, transform surplus rural labors into professional foundry workers. 

 

The county government has increased its promotion efforts for the "Hunan Foundry Craftsman" characteristic labor brand, and enhanced brand awareness and reputation through various ways, creating a good atmosphere for the whole society to pay attention to, cultivate, and maintain characteristic labor service brands. 
 
It has also actively helped build units, training institutions, and workers understand policies of this labor brand, expanded the scale of brand training, and cultivated students to establish correct career and employment views through teaching. 
 
It has worked to guide college graduates, veterans and migrant workers to get employed in this industry. 
 
Now, about 100,000 people are directly or indirectly engaged in the foundry industry, generating an annual income of five billion yuan and helping more than 10,000 households shake off poverty and become rich. 
 
The foundry industry has become a way to make the county stronger and enrich local people. 
 
The county has won many honorary titles, including the Capital of Foundry in Jiangnan (the regions south of the Yangtze River), a green foundry development base in the hometown of China’s foundry industry, and a National Pilot County for Foundry Industrial Cluster.
