Village Gala creates festive atmosphere

The second "Village Gala” celebration for the coming Spring Festival was held in Shazhou Yao Village in Rucheng County on January 27, with various folk activities such as making Ciba, frying dough flowers, performing dragon and lion dances, and sending Spring Festival couplets, allowing villagers to enjoy a cultural feast.
In recent years, Shazhou Village has planted fruit, opened stores, and set up stalls to develop industries based on rich resources such as Red, green, and historical resources, which helped villagers to find jobs at the doorstep.
Last year, the per capita income of the village reached 23,000 yuan, and the collective income was 1.06 million yuan.
Meanwhile, the villagers have the increasing spiritual and cultural needs. Last year, the “Village Gala” was held for the first time, which has received unanimous praise from the villagers.
The gala, themed “The village is full of happiness”, showcased the sense of gain, happiness, and security of the people in Shazhou Yao Village.
The rich and colorful programs showed Yao culture, Red culture, and festival culture, with various artistic forms such as music, dance, drama, and folk performances. Most of the programs were created by the local villagers. There was also the lucky draw during the gala, bringing villagers lots of surprises.
