At the same time, the center actively introduced such platforms as Cainiao and Pinduoduo to expand services. The international express business volume exceeded the daily average of 6,000. 

 

“By improving the level of inter-regional opening and cooperation through the open platform of the land port, the ability of Beihu District to utilize two markets and resources at home and abroad is constantly improving, the agglomeration effect is also becoming prominent.” An official of the Beihu District, said that with the help of the Chenzhou International Land Port, currently, 33 good projects have settled in Beihu District, including 16 major projects worth more than 200 million yuan and 4 projects from Fortune Global 500, Top 500 Chinese Enterprises, and Top 500 Private Enterprises.

 

In 2023, Beihu District made every effort to boost economy, attract projects and stabilize growth. The total economic output surpassed 50 billion yuan first in the city, with major economic indicators exceeding the average level of Chenzhou City and Hunan Province. 

 

In addition, Beihu District has worked to promote intelligent manufacturing technology transformation, effectively driving traditional industries such as graphite to release production capacity.

 

It has built 292 new 5G base stations, totaling 2,271, with 890 enterprises achieving cloudification and 56 enterprises added on the platform. It has incubated 27 innovative SMEs, and two intelligent manufacturing enterprises, built 16 intelligent manufacturing workshops and provided 103 intelligent manufacturing jobs. 

 

From 2023 to now, Beihu District has focused on the five leading industries of new materials, electronic information, advanced manufacturing, food and medicine and nonferrous metals. 

 

Eight major industrial projects including Aoneng graphite special new materials have been completed and put into operation. 

 

One new enterprise with a total output value of over 1 billion yuan, five enterprises with over 100 million yuan, and 14 enterprises above designated size have been added. 314 technology-based SMEs have been admitted, 62 have been recognized as high-tech enterprises (including those in Chenzhou Economic Development Zone), and there have been 11 new provincial specialized and innovative enterprises. 6 enterprises have been listed on the Hunan Stock Exchange. The incubator of Chenzhou Motosada Business Service Co., Ltd. have become the first national level technology enterprise incubator in Chenzhou. The total revenue of technology, industry and trade in Chenzhou Economic and Development Zone has exceeded 100 billion yuan. 

 

To solve the difficult problems in enterprise production and operation, the local government has actively responded to the development needs of enterprises, and implemented precise policies for enterprises. 

 

321 service commissioners were selected to provide assistance to 452 enterprises and 76 key projects in the district. It visited enterprises and projects 8,939 times, collected 273 issues and demands from enterprises and projects, and resolved 252 problems. 

 

It has also implemented preferential policies for enterprises, and a total of 789 million yuan has been allocated to enterprises for tax reduction and refund, administrative fee reduction, and deferred payment.  

 

Today, a favourable business environment has become one of the core competitiveness of Beihu District for its opening up to the outside world and investment attraction, and the district accelerates its high-quality development.

 

In 2023, Beihu District completed 34 target tasks of the “top 10 projects for public benefits” with high quality and efficiency ahead of schedule, comprehensively improving the quality of education, medical care and elderly care. 

 

It was successfully selected among the fifth batch of water-saving society construction standard areas in China, the first batch of national sports and fitness model areas, and national demonstration areas for “four-good” rural roads. 

 

“Four-good Transportation” has been selected on a recommended list for inspection and incentive by the provincial government.
