Recently, peach blossoms are in full bloom on the mountains of Caotian Village, Yizhang County. The village has developed fruit tree planting according to local conditions for many years, The rocky desertification mountains have become a good way to increase income.
In the peach garden of the village, a vast sea of pink flowers jump into sight, with fragrance in the air. It’s hard to image that this used to be a place with severe rocky desertification and poor soil.
In recent years, Caotian Village has vigorously developed fruit tree planting based on local conditions. Not only has it effectively managed rocky desertification of the barren mountains, but it has also led villagers on the road toward prosperity.
The local villagers also run farmhouses and develop picking tours.
Every spring, when peach blossoms bloom, a constant stream of tourists come to appreciate them, driving the local economic development.
In autumn, when peaches are ripe, villagers will pick and sell peaches.
Now, there are more than 5,000 mu (333.33 hectares) of economic crops like pear, nectarine and yellow peach in the village, which is an important industry for local villagers to increase income.
At the same time, it actively develops rural tourism based on local natural scenery and cultural resources. This not only brings more income to villagers, but also injects new vitality into the local economic and social development.
