During the Qingming Festival holiday, at the Navel Orange Industrial Park in Yizhang County, Chenzhou City, the 10,000-mu (about 666.67 hectares) navel orange flowers were in full bloom, attracting many tourists to admire flowers.

Deep in the orchard, fruit farmers were busy protecting flowers and fruits, hoping for a good harvest this year through their hard work.
“There is much rainfall in spring, which can easily cause diseases and pests. Therefore, during this period, we need to pay special attention to flower and fruit preservation, and also apply some organic fertilizers for better growth of fruit trees,” said a fruit farmer, adding that spring management in place in the early stage will guarantee income increase in the later stage.
Navel orange flowers bloom for over one month. The sweet aroma of orange flowers helps to release stress and please the mind.
Due to the fact that the navel orange orchard is only a three to five minutes’ drive from the county town, many tourists came here to admire flowers, take photos, and enjoy the beautiful spring scenery during the Qingming Festival holiday.
The blooming navel orange flowers add beauty to the landscape and bring income to villagers.
Yizhang County is one of the main production areas of the South Jiangxi-South Hunan-North Guangxi navel orange advantage industry belt planned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
At present, the county has 297,000 mu (19,800 hectares) of navel oranges, with an annual output of 235,000 tons and a comprehensive output value of 2 billion yuan.
Nearly 100,000 people have increased their income through the navel orange industry.
