Study tour boosts income for ancient village

Recently, over 390 sixth grade students from Anren County of Chenzhou City took a two-day study tour in Zhongtian ancient residence of Ludong Village, Sandu Town, Zixing City. This is an innovative attempt by the assistance team stationed in Ludong Village to utilize the resources of the ancient village.

At the Zhongtian Ancient Village Study Base in Ludong Village, students queued up in front of a European-style building to take graduation photos. 
 
The “Jinggong Building” has been renovated in recent years and become a popular attraction in the local area. While appreciating the scenery of the ancient village, students could also experience outdoor expansion activities.
 
In recent years, the city government has worked to promote the deep integration of culture and tourism, with Dongjiang Lake as the core to drive the further development of surrounding cultural tourism resources.

Those who take the study tour can appreciate the beautiful Dongjiang Lake and the traditional ancient village. 
 
In 2023, with the help of the assistance team, the village built a study base in Zhongtian Ancient Village by utilizing the local tourism resources to promote local rural revitalization. 
 
Villager Li Hongbo runs a small shop in the village. In recent years, with the increasing number of tourists received, the shop sees good sales. 
 
“Apart from this ancient residence, we also have the cherry blossom avenue. About 3,000 visitors come here to appreciate cherry blossoms every March. It can bring an income of 30,000 to 40,000 yuan. When it’s time for study tours, villagers can earn about 20,000 to 30,000 yuan,” said the village secretary of Ludong Village.
