The International Food Cultural and Tourism Festival was jointly held by Wyndham Hotel of Chenzhou Development Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Foshan Fengcheng Development and Training Planning Company in Chenzhou from July 12 to 18. It aims to inject momentum into the high-quality development of Chenzhou’s culture and tourism through integration of food, culture and tourism.
Chenzhou and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) are closely connected and share a natural bond of affinity. As the earliest city in Hunan to open up to the south, it has become a popular tourist destination in the GBA.
The organization committee of this activity joined hands with some cultural tourism industry representatives including Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area, Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area of Mangshan Mountain and Feitian Mountain-Cuijiang River Scenic Area, introduced internationally renowned gourmets, chef teams and theatrical performances, provided Hunan and Guangdong cuisine with Chenzhou characteristics.
A boutique food tourism route was launched by integrating delectable food, wonderful opera performances, and Chenzhou’s scenic resources.
The launch of the food tour enriches the tourism products of Chenzhou, promotes local food culture and ecological resources in all aspects, enhances tourists’ sense of experience, culture and interaction, stimulates tourists to transform their consumption experience into materials released on social platforms, further expands the scope of publicity, and helps Chenzhou develop into a world tourist destination.
The event attracted more than 3,000 tourists from the GBA to taste delicious Chenzhou cuisine. While consolidating the core source market of the GBA, it further deepened the exchanges of cultural activities between cities, promoted the upgrading of tourism consumption, and enhanced the popularity and reputation of Chenzhou’s tourism brands.
