The 2024 Chenzhou “Lin Dan Cup” Badminton Open came to an end at the Chenzhou Sports Center on July 21. Olympic badminton champion Lin Dan presented awards to the champions of each category.

 

 

The badminton open has been included in the national fitness points competition system of the China Badminton Association. It attracted nearly 1,500 athletes from 12 countries and regions including China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and South Korea. After the intense competition, Gu Junfeng won the championship in the men’s singles final.

 

 

At the closing ceremony, a badminton training class was held. Lin Dan, Gu Junfeng, and 8 champion players from the youth group teamed up for multiple rounds of exciting interactive exhibition matches, and won warm applause and cheers from the audience. Lin Dan also randomly selected 9 lucky spectators to participate in the batting game, presented them with exquisite gifts, and took a group photo.

 

 

According to the organizing committee of the event, in order to further promote the development of badminton and improve the national fitness level, the Chenzhou “Lin Dan Cup” Badminton Open will be held again next year, with more top domestic and foreign players to be invited for a more exciting and intense competition.
