Beishui Ancient Village of Nuanshui Town in Rucheng County has a history of 600 years. It has rich historical and cultural heritage and the quaint residential complex of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was included in the fifth batch of China’s traditional villages in 2019.

 

In order to better inherit and protect the cultural heritage of Beishui Ancient Village, and to promote cultural revitalization as well as the development of rural cultural tourism, Nuanshui Town has repaired damaged parts, reinforced structures, improved ventilation and drainage, fire-fighting facilities, as well as environment, and tapped into various functions and values of ancient villages, to explore a sustainable development path. Based on the characteristic culture such as residential houses and homestay inns, Beishui Ancient Village is planned to grow into a tourism characteristic ancient village supported by industry, led by the village committee, and participated by the society.
