Fan Chuansheng’s efforts to promote Zixing preserved meat brand

In order to fulfill orders, as early as three months ago, Fan Chuansheng, head of Baisheng Leisure Family Farm, began to prepare new local specialties this winter. 

 

More than 10 kinds of preserved meat such as preserved pork, preserved duck, and preserved chicken hang on smoking racks in the production workshop of Baisheng Leisure Family Farm in Fuying Village, Xingning Town, Zixing City, emitting a fragrant aroma.
 
“I have been purchasing preserved meat here for many years. All products are processed by himself, with good quality. Customers who try it will want to eat it again,” a head of a restaurant.
 
Through more than 10 years of management, Fan Chuansheng has developed his farm to a large factory with a complete assembly line, and is committed to building the Zixing preserved meat brand, with the products selling well both domestically and internationally.
 
Fan Chuansheng worked outside for more than 10 years. Later, he decided to return to his hometown to start his own business when seeing the business opportunity. Every year before Beginning of Winter, he prepares the raw materials for the cured meat in advance and smokes them following the standardized process.
 
On the basis of traditional smoking, he has also introduced a complete set of environmentally friendly smoking equipment and built a large cold storage, solving the bottleneck of seasonal restrictions on preserved meat products. As a result, his preserved meat products are constantly in stock throughout the year.
 
“Our finished products go through about ten processes, including cutting, curing, air drying, and smoking. The temperature needs to be controlled at around 45 degrees Celsius, because if the temperature is too high, it will be cooked, and if too low, it will become smelly,” he said.
 
With good quality, his preserved meat products are favored in the market. In addition to offline sales, he also launches online sales through e-commerce live streaming platforms. Nowadays, the farm has a daily sales volume of nearly 1,000 kilograms, with an annual sales revenue of 20 million yuan.
 
The raw materials for these preserved meat products mainly come from poultry and livestock raised by poverty-stricken households and nearby villagers. Fan Chuansheng has driven the employment and entrepreneurship of local villagers, helping more than 300 villagers to increase income. In 2019, he was awarded an exemplary individual of rural youth in starting a business and helping the people become rich by the Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation.
 
Fan Chuansheng said that in the future, he will introduce advanced equipment to build a large-scale cured meat processing factory that integrates production, processing, and sales. He will continue to expand sales volume through e-commerce live streaming platforms, broaden employment channels for villagers, and enhance the reputation of the Zixing preserved meat brand.
