A food competition was held in Chaoyang Community, Zhenghe Town, Guiyang County on January 17.

Through the cooking competition and the tasting of local snacks, it aimed to promote traditional dishes in Guiyang County and showcase the charm and cultural heritage of the county.
20 dishes were presented, such as Guiyang Ratatouille and Fried Grass Carp with Rice Flour, as well as Tofu Stuffed with Meat, and Baishui Sour and Spicy Chicken.
The top ten famous dishes were selected out and presented with medals on the site.
“Such an honor is a great motivation for me. I hope that the cuisine of Guiyang can be passed down, better promoted and developed,” said a chef.
“This competition is a collision of food culture between the southern region and northern region of the county and an exchange of culinary skills between us,” said another chef.
There was also the food exhibition area, with traditional famous snacks in Guiyang on sales, such as ciba, fried dough sticks with sesame, and fried sesame balls.
