In recent days, the construction site of Ruye wind power plant of Gaoshan village, Heye town, Guiyang county was very busy in installing the wind turbine generators. It was introduced that currently the installed capacity of signed wind power projects of Guiyang county was amounted to 0.8million kws, covering 7billion yuan investments. Luhejin, Qiaoshi (Shuiyuan) and other wind power plants were established in Guiyang county. Improving the development of wind power industry became one of the most important measures of Guiyang county to accelerate its industrial transformation and upgrading.

In recent years, Guiyang county focused on new style industry, modern agriculture, and tertiary industry to promote the transformation development. On new style industry, it highlighted the efforts on introducing powerful enterprises to settle down there that Hunan Non-ferrous, China State Construction Engineering Corporative, and some other strategic investors were introduced there. Over 10 major projects were constructed there which helped to form 4 series mine products deepening processing industries as lead&zinc, ferromanganese, graphite, and rare & precious metal. Meanwhile, it accelerated the speed on upgrading of traditional industries that about 4.27billion yuan was placed on the improvement of technologies of 61 projects.

In order to improve modern agriculture, Guiyang county place 2billion yuan on implementing the construction of 26 leisure agricultural villa projects. Now, there are 120 leisure agricultural villas available in Guiyang county, 16 of which are star level ones. In last year, the total comprehensive income of modern agriculture of Guiyang county was amounted to one billion yuan.

Furthermore, Guiyang county placed great efforts on improving the combination of tourism and culture to improve the tertiary industry. Based on the long mining history, characteristic mining culture, and abundant mining relics, Guiyang county built the first mine tourism project of Hunan province- Baoshan National Mine Park. It also placed great efforts on the construction of Guiyang Cultural Park, Chonglingjiang Wetland Park, and Xihe landscape belt, and also the development of ancient villages, which established a new cultural tourism circle in the county.
