It was learned that leading office of establishment of national garden city was established in Zixing city in the morning of September 28, 2015, which indicated that Zixing city started its establishment work of national garden city.

Zixing city took active actions on carrying out the establishment work of national garden city. “City shade”action which was carried out by Zixing city helped it to finish different greening projects as Zixing Avenue, Dongjiang Avenue and some other main streets, Dongjiangwan landscape, Qingluhu Park, Kangjiatang Garden, Liyujiang Sewage Treatment Plant, second phase of Zixing Sewage Treatment Plant, and etc. Till the end of 2014, the total greening areas of Zixing city are 861.62hectares, greening coverage areas are 911.23hectares, per capita greening land rate is 11.02%, and the greening land rate and greening coverage rate of finished area are 40.95% and 43.31% respectively. Three greening indexes well met the standards of national garden city.
