It was learned from Chenzhou Municipal Commercial Affairs Bureau that the total foreign trade value of first three quarters of 2014 was amounted to $3.3billion, up 49.99% which was 26.49% higher than national average increasing rate and 46.69% higher than Hunan provincial rate. It was ranked the second place of Hunan province.
There were 108 enterprises available in Chenzhou city to carry out the import and export businesses, mainly of which were private ones. In the first 9 months, the total foreign trade value hit $2.875billion by the private enterprises with an increase of 42.18%, covering 87% of all. The state-owned enterprises were just $14.27million with an increase of 13.07%, covering less than 1%. The foreign-funded enterprises were $410million with an increase of 148.44%, covering 12%.
Non-ferrous metals and electronic information products were the key exporting products. According to the data, the total amount of the export of electric appliances and electronic products was amounted to $199million with an increase of 29.11%, covering 12% of the total; non-ferrous metals products were for $465million with a decrease of 24.74%, covering 28% of the total. Six enterprises as Jingui Silver, Huaxin Non-ferrous, Yuteng Non-ferrous, Xiangyun Fine Product and Guoda Non-ferrous handled the business of silver export.
The increase of processing trade was higher than general trade. The total value of processing trade hit $2.49billion with an increase of 57.04%, $1.25billion of which was for export with an increase of 50.82% and $1.24billion of which was for import with an increase 63.87%. The total value of general trade in the first 9 months was amounted to $750millon with an increase of 26.16%, covering 23% of the total foreign trade amount, $370million of which was for export with an increase of 8.74% and $380million of which was for import with an increase of 49.45%.
