It was reported that 2014 Hunan Non-ferrous Metals Technology Forum was held in Guiyang county on December 10, 2014. Some professors and experts from more than 10 institutions of non-ferrous metals, representatives from over 20 Hunan provincial large-scale smelt enterprises, financing institutions and representatives from the leading enterprises of non-ferrous metals of Chenzhou city shared their opinions on how to forge “green development of non-ferrous metals industry and industrial parks’economy”.

Qiu Dingfan- Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered a report entitled of “understanding of the greenization of non-ferrous metals industry”. Qiu interpreted the concepts of green development of industry and sustainable development of circular economy on his report. He also explained the urgency condition for the green development of non-ferrous metals industry on the basis of practical condition and presented some methods and models to forge the greenization of non-ferrous metals industry by connecting politic, production, university and research together. Chai Liyuan- Dean of Metallurgy Institute of Central South University, Li Wenjin-Board Director of Hunan Jinrong Group and some other guests presented some excellent special academic reports as well.

Jia Mingxing- Vice-chairman of China Non-ferrous Metals Association stated that Chenzhou city is with very good development foundation for the development of non-ferrous metals industry. Its location advantages, technology advantages and resource advantages are extraordinary outstanding, Jia hoped that Chenzhou city could follow the market development rules to improve the overall development of non-ferrous industry scientifically. Scientific innovations should be accelerated to upgrade the industrial structure. Furthermore, scientific management should be enhanced to improve the environmental protection and lead Chenzhou city’s non-ferrous metal industry to be developed with a healthy and sound direction,
