In the afternoon of Nov. 13,2014, the leaders and guests who attended the on-site investigation for the economic and social development of Chenzhou city visited Guiyang county and checked its projects construction condition. Along with the improvement of city's scale, Guiyang county paid more attention on consolidating the foundation of development via the promotion of "interaction of production and city“. Its ideas and measures on accelerating the speed to melt into "great Chenzhou" highly impressed on the attendants' mind.

From the beginning of 2014, Guiyang county focused on the target of "melting into the great Chenzhou, accelerating improvement, fighting for well-off society, and ranking advanced place on the process of Chenzhou's take-off" and tried best to promote the work on following four key points: upgrading of The downtown of Guiyang county, reconstruction of towns and villages, regulation of housing and governance of environment. It highlighted the concept to get closer to Chenzhou on both urban construction and industrial development.

On the basis of finishing 1.5billion yuan on the reconstruction of the arterial roads, Guiyang county placed 1.0billion yuan more on the promotion of the upgrading of city. It was successfully past the review and approval of the establishment of Hunan provincial civilized city and sanitary city. At the meantime, "6 towns, 10 villages and 1 line" demonstration construction work was strongly promoted on the county, which covered 600million yuan investment. Furthermore, in order to well play the driving role of transportation construction, about 360million yuan has been fulfilled on the construction of joint line of Xiarong expressway, upgrading of S322 Guijia highway, reconstruction of Guiyang section of S209, Libu highway, and etc., which greatly optimized the transportation pattern of Guiyang county.

Concerned for the industry, 123 key projects were confirmed by Guiyang county in 2014, 58 of which were for industrial projects. From January to October, 9.245billion yuan investments were finished on the key projects construction, 4.248billion yuan was for the industrial projects, accounting for 82% of annual investment plan.
