It was reported that an opening ceremony for 3 major projects which was with total investment of 929million yuan was held in Rucheng county on April 27, 2015. The three major projects were as follow: agricultural products science park, farmers’ market of new region, and reconstruction of urban water supply network.

The project of agricultural products science park which was with total investment of 600million yuan covered with 242mu areas. Central grain depot of Rucheng county, Ruhua Ecological Food, Xinli Food Pepper, and some other enterprises have been settled down there. The farmers’ market of new region which was with 280million yuan total investment was covered with 45.56mu areas. Once finished, 450stands would be available and over 600 merchants would be attracted there. It was aimed to be improved as a convenient trading and circulation platform of agricultural and sideline products and a first choice for the investment, which can drive the improvement of employment and entrepreneurship of downtown of Rucheng county and other areas surrounded there.

Concerned for the reconstruction of urban water supply network, it would focus on the reconstruction and upgrading of 23 problematic ways of old urban area. The 39kms reconstruction work was estimated to be with total investment of over 49million yuan. The project helped to accelerate the expansion and upgrading of Rucheng county, perfection of infrastructures and upgrading of well-being condition. It is an important measure for Rucheng county’s driving strategy of urbanization, improvement of service industry and acceleration of county economy development.
