It was reported that the (4th) on-site scheduling conference for the comprehensive treatment of Xihe river was held in Chenzhou city on April 28,2015. Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party required that more efforts should be placed on the construction and support of this project to ensure all tasks to be fulfilled well and try to establish it to be an overall urban and rural belt with good influence in Hunan province even nationwide.

Currently, the project was being promoted rapidly. Per the work of Guiyang county, the inter-city green channel and tourism road project have been finished, 12kms river dredging work has been done and basic work for Jile station has been completed as well. Per the work for Beihu district, Wushan Sports Park has been completed, the projects of Zhaolv and Xinwuli station have been launched, and regulation work for the 8 villages along Xihe river has been started as well. The greening work and plantation work for Suxian district have been finished. Per the work of Yongxing county, pavement, drain and greening work for the green channels have almost been finished, bridge work has been completed, Baokou Leisure Park has been fulfilled, 30,000square meters areas have been demolished, and regulated housing work for 64 families along the river has been done as well. 

Liu Hesheng stated that it was not so easy for all relative counties and districts to achieve such good results rapidly. All of them should fulfill all tasks on time in next stage. "Two parks, two roads and two stations" project should be finished in the end of this June, and new rural construction, regulation of villages and water issues along the river should be completed in the end of this year. The industrialization work of the villages along the river should be improved by handling land transfer, promoting manorial economy, and improving agricultural cooperatives. At the meantime, more efforts should be tried on the propaganda work to forge a demonstration belt of agricultural industrialization and featured food belt. All of those were purposely to share the benefit with villages along the river. The management work for the belt should be enhanced by following the principal of united management by county. All departments should pay more supports on the project construction to improve it to be an overall urban and rural belt with good influence in Hunan province even nationwide.
