It was learned from Guidong Transportation Bureau that from 2012-2014, 5.146billion yuan had been finished in Guidong county, which helped to reach historic breakthrough.
In the end of 2013, Yanru expressway was placed to operation, and two entrances as Shatian and Sidu were set in Guidong county, which indicated Guidong county was facilitated with first expressway. At the meantime, 234kms arterial highway for 7 lines as G106, S322, and etc. were constructed in Guidong county, which helped to upgrade the transportation condition of Guidong county. Currently, Guidong county reach the target that 100% towns and villages were facilitated with asphalt roads and its potency rate was about 99.3% & bus rate was 97.9%. A highway network centered by downtown, framed with expressway, supported with national and provincial roads, and branched with rural roads has been shaped in Guidong county.

From the beginning of 2015, Guidong county placed much more attention on rural roads construction and kept implementing the policies that county finance placed 600,000yuan/km supporting funds to roads for towns, and placed 40,000yuan/km supporting funds to roads for villages. From 2014, a policy that all the town roads and administrative village roads were settled by Xinghuo Group was operated I. Guidong county, which greatly helped to promote the roads construction. Currently, 30 natural villages road condition was greatly improved and 99.3% administrative villages were facilitated with roads.

In 2015, Guidong county's transportation construction target set by Hunan province was 15.766kms. Currently, 6.386kms of 2 projects have been finished with 5.952million yuan, accounting for 40% of the assessment task. A dangerous bridge listed in the assessment has been completed with 3.71million yuan. Rural road network construction was further improved that farmers' transportation condition was greatly upgraded.
