The first phase of the Xiangyue Battery Industry Agglomeration Area project in Linwu County is under construction, and the main structure is expected to be completed in June this year. It is part of the effort for Chenzhou to be a “battery city”.
At the construction site of standard plants for the project, more than 200 workers were busy with their construction work and five tower cranes were in operation at the same time.
Long Jianping, manager of the project, said that they increased the input of workers, materials and investment to ensure that the project could be finished on schedule.
With a total investment of 258.6766 million yuan, the project plans to construct 5 standard plants, with a total land area of 48,461.56 square meters and a total construction area of 94,407.63 square meters, of which the plant area covers 79,738.11 square meters.
Once completed, the Hunan Jiusen New Energy Co., Ltd. would invest 2 billion yuan for battery production, with an annual output value of 2.5 billion yuan.
Tang Huimeng, manager of the company, predicts that once the project is completed, his company will be able to create 2,000 jobs for local people.
Since the construction of the project began in 2021, the Linwu Industrial Development Zone has arranged its officials to work in the company to know about the project progress and the needs of the company, so as to help the company solve difficulties and problems in the construction process.
Lei Zhengxin, an official of the Enterprise Service Department of the zone, said that a special group was set up to deal with the company’s problems, and assist the company to go through all the formalities.
