It was reported that a coordination and mobilization meeting for the new round of upgrading of rural power grid was held in Yao minority town of Rucheng county by the leadership group which was in charge of handling the work. It indicated that the new round of upgrading of rural power grid was officially launched in the town. According to the plan, 5million yuan would be placed on the town in the first half year of 2015 to carry out the upgrading of power grid of 8 villages which were not listed in the first round of upgrading.

Once the upgrading work finished, all the town would not face the “bottleneck”, low voltage and other problems of old rural power grid, which would be helpful to provide reliable support for new rural construction and rural economic and social development. From 2014, 5.6million yuan was placed on the first round of upgrading of rural power grid in 5 villages as Tongcheng, Chengjiang, Shanmei, Pingkeng, and Shoushui. Till now, over 19million yuan capitals have been invested on implementing 9 villages’ upgrading of rural power grid. Over 11,000 villagers were benefited from that upgrading project.

In recent years, along with the rapid development of economy and society, the living standard of Yao minority town’s people was upgraded stably. More and more electrical appliances were purchased by the villagers, which caused the rapid growth of rural electrical consumption. In order to meet the demands of villagers and solve some problems of old rural power grid as low voltage, aging equipment, overload, “bottleneck”, and etc., the town carried out the upgrading of rural power grid by obtaining the upgrading project from upper level government. With their efforts, villagers’difficulties on the electrical consumption was solved successfully, which greatly helped to support the development of “three rural” economy.
