Rucheng EDZ ensures safety production amid epidemic

2021-08-19

"We arrange workers to disinfect every corner of the construction site twice a day, and meanwhile do a good job in daily temperature measurement and registration when outsiders enter the site," a project manager of Haisheng Electronic Technology said on August 12. The company is located in Rucheng No. 1 Science and Technology Park.  Temperature measurement, disinfection, entry and exit registration are their daily routine for epidemic prevention on the construction site.

Haisheng Electronic Technology Project, the first-phase project of Hunan-Guangdong Electronic Intelligent Technology Industrial Park, covers an area of 70 mu (about 11.5 acres) and has a total investment of 140 million yuan.

When completed, it can produce 100,000 household 3D high-definition projectors per year. As the first batch of contracted projects to undertake the transfer of the industrial chain in the Guangdong-Hong Kong Greater Bay Area, this project will greatly promote the "one growth pole and six demonstration zones" to take root in Rucheng.

The project is in progress on schedule based on epidemic prevention and control measures carried out to ensure the health and safety of employees. At present, 4 steel-framed workshops and the foundation construction of the office building have been completed.

In order to ensure the orderly progress of the project under the premise of safety production while doing a good job in epidemic prevention, under the guidance of the county epidemic prevention and control headquarters, all cadres and employees of the Rucheng Economic Development Zone are assigned to supervise and urge all projects under construction to launch an epidemic prevention warning, strictly implement epidemic prevention measures, and take multiple measures to build a strong line of defense.

A series of measures to strengthen epidemic prevention have been taken at the construction sites of many projects in the park—for example, increasing epidemic prevention publicity by posting warm reminders of epidemic prevention policies, documents and measures in eye-catching locations of the project departments and construction sites; conducting closed management on the construction sites where both the personnel and outsiders are required to have temperature measured, register information and get health codes and others checked before entering.

At the same time, the project construction units also strengthened the prevention and control of the epidemic in key areas by carrying out comprehensive sterilization and disinfection in key areas such as offices, residences, and canteens at least twice a day. Workers also take meals at different times to avoid gathering.
