Bing Dwen Dwen, mascot of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, has gained worldwide popularity. However, there is also a pop-up book about Winter Olympics produced by a print company in Yizhang County which has been widely received by the public.
This book titled “China’s Ice and Snow” was launched by the winter sports management center of the State Sports Administration and the Publishing House of Electronics Industry, and Hunan Yatushi Printing Co., Ltd. is responsible for production and printing.
It consists of more than 1,000 paper parts, 8 large stereo settings and 32 small stereo structures. The snow culture and charming winter sports are fully presented through 360-degree panoramic display on a 3-square-meter unfolded book.
Tan Yanhong, chairman of the company, said that the first page of this book shows the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics through China’s 24 solar terms, followed by all projects of this Olympics.
Hunan Yatushi mainly produces greeting cards. The base plant covers an area of more than 13 hectares, with a total investment of about 500 million yuan.
It settled in Yizhang Economic Development Zone (Yizhang EDZ) in September 2020, and purchased another 13 hectares of land last year. The Phase II project is under construction.
