Qu Hai visited Shanghai Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd.

It was reported that Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City visited Shanghai Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. on July 17, 2014 and talked with Jin Jianzhong- Chairman of Supervisor Board. Jin expressed his willing to reach substantial cooperation with Chenzhou city in near future.

Shanghai Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. was established in July, 1981 in Hong Kong, which was one of the window enterprises of Shanghai city in Hong Kong. Currently, it is wholly-owned by Shanghai SASAC and becomes one of the biggest and most powerful comprehensive enterprises of Shanghai abroad and one of the representatives of China-invest enterprises of Hong Kong. The five core businesses for the group were real estate, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure construction, consumer goods and financial equity investment.

Hong Kong FXGOLD International Co., Ltd. which is the subordinate company of Shanghai Industrial Environment Holding Co., Ltd- a listing company in Singapore bought 14.28% equity of Southern Water Co., Ltd in August, 2013. It turned to be a sino-foreign joint venture from a private enterprise. In last November, a finance lease agreement was reached between Shanghai Industrial Finance Lease Co., Ltd.- a subordinate company of Shanghai Industrial Group and Chenzhou High-tech Industrial Zone. The paid-in 607million yuan investment was placed on the fixed asset and infrastructure construction.

Qu Hai stated that as the “south gate” of Hunan province, Chenzhou city entered a “city-wide era” with Guangzhou city and Changsha city by assisting with high speed trains. One of the key features and advantages of Chenzhou city’s economy was the advanced development of private economy, so there were great potential for the mutual cooperation on sewage treatment, pharmacy, and other fields between Shanghai Industrial Group and Chenzhou city. Qu welcomed the group to visit and investigate Chenzhou city at their convenience. Jin Jianzhong expressed his willing to reach substantial cooperation with Chenzhou city in near future.
