“Mr. He, you should pay more attention on fertilizer for the growth of your cole is uneven; the ditch should be dug in advance to prevent the filed from flooding in the spring; and more attention should be placed on controlling aphis and sclerotiniose,” said Zeng Chunchu- Chief Agronomist of Guiyang Agriculture Bureau on his investigation and guiding trip to He Yinbao’s cole filed in Bangshan village, Taihe town, Guiyang county with three agricultural technicians. In recent days, the agricultural technicians of the county were divided into 7 groups to visit the villages and guide local farmers to handle spring ploughing work.

In 2016, Guiyang county planned to finish sowing 1.0298million mu grains, including 0.5958million mu rice, 0.155million mu corn, and 0.279million mu other crops. In order to upgrade the effectiveness and increase farmers’ income, the county detached about 200 agricultural technicians to provide technological guiding for the farmers on the basis of agricultural projects and technological demonstrations. Concerned for the poor condition of cole seedlings, the technicians taught farmers to enhance the fertilizer work afterward. Concerned for the potatoes, the technicians asked the farmers to loosen the soil, cultivate stem, add more fertilizers, and handle the tending based on the farming season.

Guiyang county specified that each agricultural technicians should take charge of connecting with 10 technological demonstrations. It aimed to cultivate 580 key technological demonstrations in the whole county, which would drive 11,600 farmers. At the meantime, integrated raise of seedlings and some other technologies were provided by the county to guide the technological demonstrations to handle ploughing work. According to the plan, 14,000mu demonstration field of integrated raise of seedlings would be finished by the county. Till now, 9 main bodies of mechanized transplanting and 14 seedling slinging have been confirmed with the guidance of the agricultural technicians.

In 2016, Guiyang county will enhance the technological support to accelerate the development of “internet + agriculture”. It will pay special attention on placing more investments on the infrastructures of agricultural informatization. More agricultural technicians will be organized to improve the agricultural informatization system, promote the intelligent production of agriculture, and popularize the application of internet, intelligent control, and other information devices on agriculture industry.
