Aoshang Town, located in the south of Suxian District, covers an area of 103.8 square kilometers and has a total population of 22,600. The town is rich in natural resources, with farmland area of 1,324 hectares and forest coverage rate of 61.42%.

 

 

 

In 2020, Aoshang Town was selected as the Strong Agriculture Town in Hunan Province and Demonstration Village for Beautiful Countryside Construction (Aoshang Village). In 2021, Tianjiawan Village of Aoshang Town was awarded the National Demonstration village for Democracy and Rule of Law. 

 

On March 30, 2021, the Huangniao Mining of Aoshang Town was included on the list of 100 landmark projects of "digital new infrastructure" in Hunan Province for its 5G-based green and intelligent mine.

 

With the greenhouse vegetable industry as the main industry, Aoshang Town is an emergency vegetable reserve base of Chenzhou. High-quality peppers, eggplants, cabbage, tomatoes and other green vegetables are planted all over the town.  

 

 

By the end of 2021, there were 880 hectares of vegetables planted in Aoshang Town, and the comprehensive output value of the leading industry reached 327 million yuan, making it the core production area of high-quality vegetables in the province.
