It was learned from Linwu wind-power office that Jinjiang wind-power project - the first completed wind-power project had generated electricity with about 46 million degrees since January, helped to save minerals of 21200 tons, decreased carbon emission of 46200 tons, and paid taxes with about 3 million yuan, which achieved bumper economic and social benefits.

Wind-power receives worldwide attention as one of the green and environment-friendly powers worthy of development in the 21st century. Linwu county is located in the northern slop of Nanling mountain, which is influenced by both northern and southern airflow. It is evaluated by the experts on site that the wind-power available in Linwu county ranking the first place in Hunan province. Wind-power of Linwu county accounts for one third of whole installed capacity of Chenzhou city with technology development capacity of more than 0.7 million.

In order to make better use of wind-power and realize the ecological development and economy transformation, Linwu county forcefully adjusted the industry structure, such as developing more wind-power projects by full use of Sanshiliuwan, Lanqiao, Guangyi, Jinjiang and abundant wind-power resources in other places, intending to transfer thewind-power advantage into economy advantage and improve the wind-power project to be the main new style industrialization project, so that Linwu county introduced some key enterprises on the power development into the county. From last May, Linwu county has authorized the central south survey and designing institute of China Hydroelectric Power Consultant Group to draw up “wind-power resource developing plan”. The institute spent one year on the survey of whole Linwu wind-power and worked out the plan covering 9 towns and areas of the county and building 11 wind-power stations with 300 square kilometers and 0.69 million kilowatts installed capacity.
 

Up to now, 4.6 billion yuan has been invested on the wind-power project. Once all the signed projects finishes, Linwu wind-power will reach the installed capacity of 500MW, generate power generation of 1.07 billion kwh for Hunan province, and fulfill 125 million yuan revenue.
