The photos taken on February 18 show the excavators busy operating with long arms and workers cleaning up green trees in an orderly manner at the construction site of Zaoxiang Road in Suxian District, Chenzhou City.
The quality improvement of Zaoxiang Road is one of the key projects concerning the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference. The road starts at the intersection of Chenzi Road and Xuzi Avenue in the east, reaches the paper mill in Suxian District in the west, connects with Nanling Avenue and passes through Huangcao Village, Zaohetian, Xujiadong Town, Lianmeng Village and Changchongpu, with a total length of about 12.68km and a pavement width of 10.5m. The design speed is 60km/h and is 40 km/h for sections with limited local conditions.
The whole Zaoxiang Road will be paved with asphalt. Green trees will be planted, and road lamps and safety protection facilities will be installed on both sides of the road. The intersection of Zaoxiang Road and Nanling Avenue as well as the intersection of Zaoxiang Road and Chenzi Road will be upgraded. The pavement structure of sinking and cracking sections will be reconstructed.
Meanwhile, the Tiantang Hot Spring Section of Zaoxiang Road will be widened from 10.5m to 15m. The two-way four lanes will be set up and pedestrian walkways will be added.
At present, the preparatory work before construction is proceeding smoothly, and the construction can be officially started after bidding. It is expected to be completed by the end of June.
