Recently, Yi Pengfei, Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, presided over the meeting to study the steady growth of foreign trade. Yi Pengfei required that we should enhance the sense of urgency and confidence in the development of Chenzhou's foreign trade, make every effort to support enterprises in different categories, help enterprises solve practical problems, and truly realize the transformation and upgrading of Chenzhou's foreign trade and high-quality development.

After listening to the report on the work of stabilizing the growth of foreign trade in the city, Yi Pengfei pointed out that we should take the situation into consideration and enhance the sense of urgency. This year is the year of decisive battle over the well-off society in an all-round way and the decisive struggle against poverty. It is also the year of the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan. Affected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia, economic growth, especially foreign trade, is under pressure. We should realize that the traditional foreign trade system, path and development mode are not suitable for the high-quality development, take Chenzhou foreign trade as our outstanding task to realize the transformation and upgrading, and realize the high-quality development; should try our best to recruit and offer real actions to reverse the current situation of blocked foreign trade development.

Yi Pengfei stressed that we should keep pace with the times and enhance our confidence in the development of Chenzhou's foreign trade. As long as we use our brains, there will always be more ways than difficulties. As long as we work hard, we will always be effective. The confidence in Chenzhou's foreign trade development comes from the guidance of our new development concept, the guidance of high-quality development, and a series of good policy opportunities. We should make good use of these policies. Chenzhou also has a good location advantage and industrial foundation for the development of export-oriented economy and high-quality foreign trade. We should strengthen the guidance of enterprises, make good use of our own advantages, and make them stronger and better.

Yi Pengfei stressed the need for classified support to enhance effectiveness. We should build a good platform to support the development of foreign trade, carefully and solidly analyze enterprises one by one, analyze the growth point of foreign trade, pay attention to the introduction of export-oriented enterprises and cultivate the main body of foreign trade to attract investment; should give priority to advantages, analyze the basis, structure, potential and advantages of foreign trade of each county and city, and lay down tasks and burdens on the basis of analysis. We should learn from the good experience of advanced regions and improve our policies and measures; should carefully study the top-level design of Chenzhou's high-quality foreign trade development, effectively integrate foreign trade and foreign economy, support foreign trade with entities and industries, and enhance the export-oriented economy of enterprises.

Yi Pengfei asked that all efforts should be made to solve specific problems. During the period of epidemic prevention and control, special affairs should be carried out to make the relevant production enterprises of epidemic prevention and control materials qualified as soon as possible, so as to create conditions for their export. The funds should be allocated in place to form investment and production capacity. When introducing the relevant policies for high-quality development of foreign trade, we should convene foreign trade enterprises to have a discussion and listen to the opinions of enterprises; should further analyze the advantageous enterprises one by one and the key enterprises one by one, adhere to the problem orientation, take out the list of problems, and propose solutions one by one.
