Wang Zhuoqun, the honorary representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS), led a group to Chenzhou to discuss cooperation in trade, culture and tourism, etc..
The Republic of Serbia is located in the middle of the Balkan Peninsula in Europe and has maintained friendly relations with China for a long time. It’s the first country in Central and Eastern Europe to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership with China, and also the first European country to implement a substantive and comprehensive visa-free policy for Chinese citizens.
After Serbia officially joined the “Belt & Road” Initiative in 2017, the friendship and trade cooperation between China and Serbia reached a new height. China is the second largest trading partner of Serbia and the first largest source of imports of Serbia.
From January to December 2022, the total imports and exports between China and Serbia reached 685.6 billion dinars, an increase of 35% year on year.
Wang Zhuoqun spoke highly of Chenzhou’s superior investment environment and beautiful natural scenery. He believed that Chenzhou had huge market potentials. He hoped to introduce Serbian ice-cream and red wine and other high-quality products into Chenzhou’s market during the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference, and establish cooperative relations in such fields as food processing, deep processing of colored metals, medical and health technology, and cultural tourism to achieve mutual benefits.
Huang Zhengrong, vice mayor of Chenzhou City, said that Chenzhou is speeding up the effort to make it a world tourist destination, a national innovation demonstration zone, a forerunner in open development and an important growth pole in Hunan.
Chenzhou welcomes Serbian goods into the Chenzhou market, draws more Serbian excellent enterprises to invest and start businesses in Chenzhou. Chenzhou has an open platform, and the advantageous policies and institutions of Chenzhou Area of Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone can provide high-quality services for enterprises to settle down.
The specialized and well-facilitated comprehensive bonded zone and agricultural products processing park can provide broad space for enterprises' further development.
It’s hoped that the two sides can bring their respective needs, further expand cooperation channels and modes, to achieve common development.
The Chenzhou CCPIT should actively play the role of bridge, build more platforms for enterprises in the two places to cooperate, make contributions to the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference, and boost the economic and trade development of the two places.
The delegation of the CCIS will also visit Chenzhou Free Trade Zone (Hi-tech Zone), Beihu District Agricultural Products Processing Park, Chenzhou First People’s Hospital and other places.
