On June 6, Linwu County contracted the lithium-ion battery cathode material project with Shenzhen Qinya Holding Group Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 8 billion yuan. This will inject new strong impetus into the development of the lithium electric whole industrial chain in Linwu County.
Shenzhen Qinya Holding Group is a comprehensive investment group focusing on projects in the new energy sector. As for this contract, the enterprise planned to invest 8 billion yuan to build a lithium-ion battery cathode material production line project with an annual output of 200,000 tons in four phases. The first phase is planned to cover an area of 200 mu (about 13.33 hectares) and build a lithium iron phosphate cathode material production line with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons. The investment is 2 billion yuan. It is expected to be put into operation in May 2024.
In addition, the company will also cooperate with Shanghai ANE and Ganfeng Lithium to build a whole industry chain project for lithium-ion batteries, and jointly construct a whole life cycle industry chain of “lithium mineral - lithium carbonate - cathode material - lithium battery - lithium battery recycling” to form a synergy effect of industrial alliance.
Moreover, it will also plan the research and development of new materials in advance, expecting to cooperate closely with Tsinghua University, Central South University and other well-known universities and research institutes at home and abroad to promote continuous innovation and breakthroughs in products.
After full production, the annual output value will be up to 25 billion yuan, and 1,500 jobs are projected to be created.
