“We were born and grew up in Chenzhou city. All of us have great affection on all every small thing of hometown, so we sincerely hope can contribute more to its development,” said Zhou Shizhong- Chairman of Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce of Beijing City. He stated the chamber would keep its words to serve for the hometown and help to attract more investments to promoting the development of hometown.

Providing platform to serve Chenzhou merchants

Zhou Shizhong once worked in some aerospace filed enterprises after he graduated from the university on 1973. In 1995, he resigned from the admiring state-owned enterprise and established Avic Culture Co., Ltd. In August 2013, Zhou Shizhong was recommended to be the Chairman of Chenzhou Chamber of Commerce of Beijing City on its establishment.

“I still miss and love my hometown, though I left there for over 40 years. We propagandize Chenzhou city along with our development of businesses, which is one of the returns we paid back to our hometown.” As introduced by Zhou, every Chenzhou merchant in Beijing city is willing to be a window for propagandizing the home town.

“The era that good wines need no bush is no longer suitable for current situation, so we have to propagandize Chenzhou city step by step by showing its unique culture and attract more investments, then promote the development of Chenzhou city.” As considered by Zhou, currently the key work for the chamber is to handle propaganda and service. “Once more Chenzhou merchants and their partners become interested in Chenzhou city, there is no doubt that they will place investment there.”

Zhou said more Chenzhou merchants are willing to return to hometown along with their development in other places and Chenzhou city’s development. On other hand, some more Chenzhou enterprises wish to establish their businesses outside Chenzhou city. So, a communication platform is necessary for both sides. “The key value of our chamber is to be a service station of all Chenzhou merchants in Beijing city.”

The scholarly Chenzhou merchants should improve together

“The features of Chenzhou merchants are scholarly, diligent, smart, and persistent, but they lack of team spirit.” So Zhou Shizhong considered that Chenzhou merchants should learn more from Fujiang, Zhejiang, and Wenzhou merchants to form more cooperative mechanisms.

On the above point, as the chairman of the chamber, Zhou Shizhong led the members to investigate Chenzhou city for many times and established Beijing Chenzhou Enterprises Investment Co., Ltd. which was purposely to promote the merchants to improve together and pay back hometown. “Everyone has the complex to pay back hometown once he becomes successful,” said Zhou. “Flight small town” project which was forged by the chamber was settled down in Chenzhou city in 2015.

“I handle the business of aerospace filed for a whole life, so I hope can bring all the experience accumulated in my life to hometown.” As introduced by Zhou, the “flight small town” project would be settled on Chenzigui Avenue, Guiyang direction. It would be launched in short time and was estimated to be finished in this September. One airport for common use, one installation and test flight center, and one piloting training center were planned to be facilitated for the project. “Such kind of flight center is seldom in China and also the first one available in Hunan province.” As considered by Zhou Shizhong, the combination of general aviation and tourism industry must contribute greatly to further development of Chenzhou city and become a shiny name card of it as well.

Zhou said the chamber would keep improving on aviation, media, education, culture, financial, and etc. and expand its influence on the industries, which was purposely to help all Chenzhou merchants to realize their dreams with the help of the platform.
