Xiaobu Ancient Village, located in Baohe Yao Nationality Township, Beihu District, is an administrative village under the jurisdiction of Beihu District. It was said that it was built by immigrants who came along the ancient road during Yongle Period of Ming Dynasty, which has a history of more than 500 years, leaving behind a large number of ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties, spreading ancient rhyme everywhere. Long ago, Xiaobu was a reed marsh. After Shi Yigong, the Deng's ancestors, moved here, it became prosperous gradually, so it was renamed "Xiaobu". Approaching Xiaobu Ancient Village, dozens of dwellings are surrounded by mountains and water on one side. You will be amazed by its beauty and tidiness, natural transparency, wide vision, spacious flagstone road, Ming and Qing dwellings with the same style, pavilions with fragrant grass, and clear water reflecting green hills. There are 8 scenic spots, such as "Zhai Ling Xiao Wang", "Long Quan Ancient Temple", "Long Tan Cong Cui", "Ta Li Ren He", "Jing Xiu Hua Qiao", "Shen Xiang Folk Custom", "Gu Mu Chui Qing", and "Lao Huai Song Ke".

Xiaobu Village is surrounded by Zhai Ling, which was also known as "Zhai Wang Ling" because bandits occupied the mountain as king in ancient times. Fine brick carvings and tiles were found here. In the Qing Dynasty, Deng Yiyuan in Xiaobu took Zhai Ling by strategy of 500 sheep, and destroyed the bandit "Overlord Li", so he was awarded by the court and was exempted from examinations to become a martial examiner. Later, he became Shi Dakai's trusted subordinate, and made many wonderful achievements. Now, the flagpole stone preserved in Xiaobu Village is inscribed with the words "Martial Examiner Deng Yiyuan".

Farming and reading is the tradition of ancient villages. There are free kindergartens in Chongsheng Academy and the teachers have compiled the "Three-character Classic" and "Standards For Students" into songs and dances to teach the children.

A stone tablet stands in the "Evergreen Pavilion" near the village. The inscription on the tablet reads: "Golden mountain and clear water are temporary wealth, and green mountains and waters are the blessings of all generations... In order to thank the government for its love for the people and remember the meaning of the evergreen life, this "Evergreen Pavilion" was built between the ancient camphor and the 500-year-old cypress to show that we should never forget our descendants and leave evergreen to future generations.

With the construction of new countryside and the rise of rural tourism, Xiaobu Village has been listed as a beautiful and livable demonstration village in China, attracting many tourists.

There are ponds in front of the village, and grass carp, crucian carp and carp swim happily in the ditches. The island in the center of the lake has "Qiushui Residence" and farmhouses. On weekends, people from nearby cities often come here for leisure and entertainment. The lake is covered with hibiscus trees, the wild ducks skiing and egrets flying by from time to time.
Now in Xiaobu, there are many teahouses opened by artists in the ancient dwelling houses, with green bamboos in front of the door. The interiors are full of ancient meanings and tourists can enjoy tea with flowers here.
