The press conference for “2016 China Internet Events” which was handled by “Economic Information Daily” and Research Center of China Sustainable Development of Peking University jointly was held in Beijing recently. “The best energy saving internet data center of China was established in Zixing City, Hunan Province” was selected as one of the ten hot spots of 2016 internet events.

As stated by the experts and businessmen, all the events enrolled into the list indicate the significant influence of internet on economic development and social production and life, as well as the trend for the development of future economy and industry. Zhou Hailin who is the Vice Secretary-General of China Sustainable Development Research Center of the Technology Ministry explained that the event concerned for “The best energy saving internet data center of China was established in Zixing City, Hunan Province” showed that the emerging internet technologies as big data, cloud computing, and etc. are becoming the trend of industrial development. It also indicated that the development mode with the core of “innovative driving, green development” is about to be the main trend of China’s economic development.

Zixing City launched Dongjiang Lake Big Data Industrial Park project which covered with 3000mu lands in 2015. It is aimed to be improved as the best energy saving big data center, big data industry incubator, and gathering place of internet application. It also placed investment on building Yunmeng Small Town by combing together with the layout of leisure tourism industry. This 3square kms small town is capable to settle over 3000 enterprises. In the meantime, it placed great efforts on improving the projects and issued series favorable policies to attract more projects and talents.

Currently, the first phase of Hunan Shangrui and Hunan Telecome two super large data center projects which placed with 1.2billion yuan investments have been placed to operation in this December. It became the largest data center of south China. The cloud center, big data innovation center, and the national center for data backup which were invested by Inspur Group with one billion yuan in Dongjiang Lake Big Data Industrial Park are being under preparation.
