It was learned from Chenzhou Economic Development Zone that it would follow the general target of “establishing national level zone, reaching new achievements” to establish national economic development zone.

In recent years, Chenzhou Economic Development Zone tried great efforts on upgrading the infrastructures and attracting investments, and formed its unique development pattern via focusing on the target of establishing national level zone. In 2016, the total trade volume of the zone was amounted to USD846 million, accounting for 30% of the total amount of Chenzhou City and ranking the first place of Hunan provincial and Chenzhou municipal level zones. 128 incubation real economy companies were settled down on Changchong Innovation Park. 2568 job vacancies were provided by the 104 companies there. 11 companies as Yuanhong Technology, Xingyuan Smart Technology, Luosennina, and etc. were incubated successfully. 6 projects listed by the zone were ranked the top ten of the 2nd Chenzhou Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest. In the meantime, 30 famous ecommerce enterprises as Alibaba were attracted to be settled on Wuling Ecommerce Base. 200 people from 52 graduate entrepreneurship teams gathered there to start their businesses. It was estimated that over one billion yuan annual volume can be gained by them. The base was honored as Hunan Provincial Demonstration of Ecommerce. Three national level awards as national demonstration of micro enterprises innovation and entrepreneurship base, national demonstration of incubation base, and national innovative space were gained by the zone as well in 2016, which helped to provide sound foundation for its establishment of national level economic development zone.

Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government listed the establishment work into the list of top 10 major projects of Chenzhou City in 2017. According to the plan, it was required to be established successfully in 2018. The zone would follow the requirements concerned for the establishment to handle relative work more efficiently. In the meantime, it would try more efforts on cultivate and introduce more opening, ecommerce, innovative, and high technology enterprises to shape its unique features and ensure it to be established as national demonstration of ecommerce industry successfully in 2017.
