Recently, the Provincial Forestry Department announced the province's first pilot demonstration base list of forest healthcare and life-preservation, and Hunan Swan Mountain National Forest Park became the first selected demonstration base in Chenzhou.

Swan Mountain National Forest Park is located in the southern tip of Luoxiao Mountains, surrounded by Dongjiang Lake, with more than 100 thousand mu of original secondary forest, coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, and forest coverage rate of 95.8% or more. The park with towering peaks, lined trees, waterfalls, birds contention, high content of negative oxygen ion, rare animal and plant resources, is the best place for outdoor adventure experience and with the development value of forest healthcare and life-preservation.

In recent years, Zixing City has actively created a national tourism model city, Dongjiang Lake 5A tourist attractions as the leading, strived to build Swan Mountain tourist area plate, and developed the forest adventure tour and rural paradise holiday leisure travel, to create an international leisure travel destination. At present, leisure villa, fishing center, miles of flowers, self driving camps, forest houses and tent camps have been built and provided forest healthcare and life-preservation services, attracting more and more tourists.

The notice from Provincial Forestry Department required the pilot demonstration bases should complete the construction content by the end of this year. Provincial Forestry Department will perform the standard certification for bases and formally grant the title of "Hunan Forest Healthcare and Life-preservation Base" for the qualified bases.
