Around the high-quality development, what will the ecological environment department do next? The responsible person of the Municipal Bureau of Ecological and Environment said that we should maintain the strategic focus of strengthening the construction of ecological civilization and explore new ways of high-quality development oriented by ecological priority and green development. We should scientifically plan the "14th Five-Year Plan" of the ecological environment of Chenzhou, promote the construction of innovative demonstration zones on the national sustainable development agenda, strengthen pollution control and environmental protection in key regions, key areas and key industries, and actively explore the development path of transforming green mountains into lucid waters and lush mountains.

We should actively serve enterprises, strengthen guidance, do a good job of environmental protection examination and approval, strengthen environmental supervision and law enforcement, promote industrial transformation and upgrading, and focus on changing the extensive development model; enhance the support of enterprises, enhance the effectiveness of service enterprises and service projects, reduce the time limit for environmental protection approval and emission permit to 40 percent of the statutory time limit, reduce the time limit for investment projects to 20 percent of the statutory time limit, promote cleaner production of enterprises and expand the environmental protection industry.

We should persist in improving the quality of ecological environment as the core, focus on promoting environmental protection supervision and rectification, consolidate the achievements of establishing demonstration cities with air quality up to the standard, accelerate the institutional reform of the ecological environment system, and focus on solving the outstanding ecological environment problems strongly reflected by the people.

Up to now, the construction of ecological civilization in the city has progressed smoothly and achieved results. In October 2014, Chenzhou won the title of national forest city and the first batch of national model cities of ecological civilization; in March 2016, Chenzhou was awarded the greening national model city; in March 2018, the annual evaluation results of the ecological civilization construction of the whole province and prefecture were announced and Chenzhou ranked first in the comprehensive evaluation of ecological civilization construction; in December 2018, Chenzhou successfully established the first batch of provincial air quality standard demonstration cities, which provided good ecological guarantee for high-quality development.
