Established in 1975, North Lake Park is located in the central district of Chenzhou City. It covers a total area of 474 mu, with various recreation facilities and agreeable views.

The southern part of the park is an area facilitated with over 40 recreational playground equipments such as ferries wheel, walking ball on water, large roller coaster, roller rink, and fitness fairyland are located. 

The northern part of the park offers a glimpse of North Lake, the unique large natural waters in Chenzhou. With an area of about 206 mu, it is called the Mother Lake of people in Chenzhou. Based on lake waters and decorated by the vegetation, Binghu Scenic Belt manifests to its fullest a poetic state of the "waters and moon of North Lake".

North Lake Park has been divided into such five function areas as resting area, area for children's activity, area for teenagers' recreation, lake area and administration area. Therefore, it has become a comprehensive city park combining leisure, recreation and ecology.
