Founded in 1964, it covers a total area of 50 mu (about 3.33 hectares), with a building area of 28,600 square meters. There are 500 beds in the hospital. 

 

Centered on infectious disease diagnosis and treatment, it sets up clinical departments such as liver disease center, tuberculosis center, infectious disease department, internal medicine, surgery, hemodialysis center, outpatient and emergency department, and Dongjie branch, as well as functional examination and medical technology departments like laboratory, radiology, electrocardiogram, color ultrasound, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, pulmonary function examination room. Liver disease, tuberculosis, and infectious diseases are listed as key specialties at the municipal level.

 

It is a designated hospital for 28 kinds of legal infectious diseases, including liver disease, tuberculosis, hand-foot-mouth disease, influenza A (H1N1), human avian influenza, measles, and AIDS. The treatment for infectious diseases such as liver disease and tuberculosis is at the leading level in Hunan. Chenzhou Liver Disease Treatment Center and Tuberculosis Medical Cooperative Clinic have been established based on the hospital.

 

At present, there are more than 150 senior intermediate medical technicians and a group of high-quality infectious disease experts in the hospital. It has such advanced medical devices as whole-body CT machine, color ultrasound, electronic gastroscope, electronic bronchoscope, enteroscope, artificial liver support system, ascites ultrafiltration concentration and transfusion system, full-automatic mycobacterium detection system (tuberculosis rapid cultivation instrument), PCR amplification instrument, deep X-ray machine, full-automatic biochemical analyzer, Roche chemiluminescence instrument, blood rapid cultivation instrument, liver fiber four chemiluminescence instrument, hepatitis B DNA, hepatitis B quantitative detector.
