On May 25, 2021, the Plan of Compulsory Education Enrollment Area in Chenzhou City Center was announced by Chenzhou Municipal Education Bureau.

This year, there are still 18 junior high schools with the same enrollment area plan as last year. As for elementary school, three new schools are included in Beihu District, namely, Chuandong Elementary School, the Forty-seventh Elementary School and Guimenling Elementary School, and one new elementary school, the First Elementary School Chengdong Branch, is included in Suxian District.

In 2021, new entrants into compulsory education in Chenzhou are required to use a designated platform for online registration, online review, and online allocation. The online registration is from May 17 to June 5, the on-site review is from August 9 to 15, and the online allocation is from August 21 to 25.
