Shazhou Village recognized as ‘National Youth Education Base’

Shazhou Village in Rucheng County, Chenzhou City, was approved as National Youth Education Base by the General Office of the Communist Youth League recently. Now, there are 11 national youth education bases in Hunan Province.

Shazhou Village, where the “Half Quilt” story took place, is a typical model village for poverty alleviation. Since September last year, Party organizations from all over the country have carried out Party-themed activities in Shazhou Village. And 1.8 million cadres and people have received Red education in Shazhou Village.

Li Zhichao, Secretary of Hunan Provincial Youth League Committee, introduced that Shazhou village is a vivid teaching material for teenagers to learn the Party history. On the centenary of the founding of the CPC, the village was successfully approved as national youth education base. It’s of great educational significance to guide the youths in the province and even the whole country to know more about the Party.

Since 1991, four batches of national youth education bases have been built. Now, there are 11 national youth education bases, including Memorial Hall of Southern Hunan Academic Union and Shazhou Village in Hunan Province.
