It was learned from the organization committee of the mineral show that the scientific knowledge forum of China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show would be held at 9:00 a.m. on May 22, 2015 in the first floor’s multi-function hall of Chenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center. Jia Yueming- Curator of China Geological Museum would host the forum. Many experts from domestic and abroad would be invited to deliver some speeches on the themes of dinosaur fossil, mineral fossil, stone carving, scientific knowledge of minerals, tourism culture, gem industry, mineral collection, and etc. The forum would be open to all audience and they can join in Q & A part of the forum.

It was learned, during the period of the mineral show from May 21- May 25, 2015, some treasure hunting activities as finding gems, cutting agates would be held on-site, visitors especially the children can attend them. The sponsor would hide some crystals, agates, fluorite and other gems in the sands that visitors can try to find them. Visitors can also find some dinosaur fossils and fish fossils hide there and asked for the teachers’ help to restore them.

Besides the on-site treasure hunting activity, the organization committee also set some delicate animal models which would help to tell the visitors about the forming processes of mineral crystals and animal fossils. The visitors especially the teenagers’curiosity on the fossils would be well satisfied and they can also get more scientific technologies of the mineral gems.
