“Ah, teeth of the shark have been printed out!” many people gathered in front of the 3D printer set in the second floor of Chenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center and exclaimed for this amazing technology.
A nozzle moved back and forth in a small case. The printing materials were overlapped. And then a shark tooth fossil was shaped out. Doctor Bohr who is a Germany fossil collector is the owner of the 3D printer. He told the reporters that the principal of the 3D printer is to reserve all data and materials into the 3D printer and then it will follow the preset procedures to create the required product out. The materials used for the printer is not ink, but some liquids or powders of metal, wood, stone and etc. based on the required printing product.
In the postal cultural zone set in the first floor of the center, another “printer” was also very popular in the show. The product printed by it is DIY postcard- a unique postcard for every visitor. Just scan the QR code, add the public ID “郴州邮政”, and upload a photo, visitors can get a postcard printed with their photos.
He Xinsheng and his wife- Ouyang Chang were satisfied with the postcard printed by the DIY postcard printer. “We settled down in HK for 5 years. We particularly came back to visit the mineral show. It is memorable to take such kind of postcard with our photos.”
