The 3rd national “October Verse Club” & “Best known authors collecting activity in Zixing city” was launched on September 22, 2012 in Zixing, Chenzhou city. More than 50 poets and authors met in Dongjiang Lake and shared their knowledge and opinions on poems and arts with each other.

Former Deputy Director of the Party Group of China Writers Association, Deputy Chairman of Hunan Provincial CPPCC, President of Hunan Literary Federation, and Director of the Party Group and Chairman of Hunan Writers Association- Wang Xuegong, Deputy Director of the Party Group and Deputy Chairman of Guangxi Literary Federation, senior editor of arts department of “People’s Daily”- Liu Qian, routine subeditor of “October”- Chen Dongjie and other famous poets and writers attended the opening ceremony and presented the awards to the winners of “October Poetry Award”.

It was learned that besides the seminar of “poetry observation and thinking in new century”, there were some other colleting activities to be held during the 3 days. All the writers would visit Dongjiang Lake, small Dongjiang Lake, Dongjiang Lake Pedestrian Street, Foshou temple, south Hunan botanical garden, Dongjiang bay, Jiangbei industrial park and other places with the aim of collecting creative resources. The writers were embraced with such gorgeous sceneries in Zixing so that they made their minds to present more wonderful works to the society for Chinese literary and art development in the new century.
